Gaby Rojas has joined the Public Lands Alliance team as the Digital Communications Manager of our new America’s Wildlife Refuge initiative.

Gaby has been involved in communications since she was in elementary school and created a newsletter for her family to know what was going on within the household. Some of her biggest writing influences were Anthony Bourdain, Elizabeth Gilbert, and Louisa May Alcott. She worked as a freelance communications specialist while getting her degree from the University of Central Florida, where she graduated with a degree in Human Communications with a focus on Social Activism and Innovation. Since then, she was worked with a wide range of nonprofits, from housing rights to humanitarian work to racial equity. Regardless of what the cause was, Gaby has always been interested in making the world a better place.

Gaby loves travel, reading, horror movies, and documentaries. She's a huge Swiftie and so is her English Sheep Dog and best friend, Maggie Mae. Gaby is excited to be following in the footsteps of her idol, Leslie Knope, as she starts working with the America's Wildlife Refuges System.
