Walk For The Wild 2023
Administered by Public Lands Alliance (PLA), the official national strategic fundraising, friendraising, and marketing partner to the National Wildlife Refuge System, Walk for the Wild provides a platform for Refuges and their nonprofit partners to get people moving in nature and help generate important funding to advance their missions.
In 2022, Walk for the Wild raised more than $30,000 to support more than 60 refuges nationally. We can't wait to engage more teams, more participants and raise more funds to support our Refuges and their partners in 2023!
Applications are open to apply be a Walk for the Wild 2023 team!
A Walk for the Wild team comprises one nonprofit and its affiliated NWRS field station(s). Participating Walk for the Wild Teams (pending application & approval) are required to plan, execute and promote their Walk for the Wild event. Using the provided Walk for the Wild online event platform, participating nonprofit partners will administer Walk for the Wild Team pages that will allow participants to sign-up for their respective events and activate supporters to donate in support of their team.
