Walk for the Wild

Walk for the Wild provides a platform for Refuges and their nonprofit partners to get people moving in nature and help generate important funding to advance their missions.

We are now accepting applications for Teams to represent National Wildlife Refuges for the third annual Walk for the Wild 5K Challenge in 2023! Brought to you by the National Wildlife Refuge System and Public Lands Alliance. The application deadline for Walk for the Wild Teams is June 30th. NWRS Collaborative Philanthropy Discussion

Join us for a discussion and to provide feedback on the budding fundraising partnership between the Public Lands Alliance (PLA) and Friends groups/nonprofit support organizations of the National Wildlife Refuge System (NWRS) as PLA and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service launch the brand and multi-year activation and fundraising campaigns to invite new generations of Americans to fall in love and support America's Wildlife Refuges.

The Public Lands Alliance is developing task forces to provide input and engage in the development of signature events, merchandising opportunities, coordinated strategic communications, and on-the-ground impact programs that will anchor the upcoming National Wildlife Refuge System activation campaign.
