The intention of youth affinity crews goes beyond inspiring an inclusive next generation of environmental leaders; it recognizes that our cultures, identities, and circumstances play a huge role in pushing environmental justice and equity forward.

In this session, we’ll discuss programming for youth to experience the outdoors free from mainstream stereotypes and marginalization. Come hear about partnerships that engage BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and LMI (Low to Moderate Income) affinity crews, including removing key barriers such as livable wages, transportation, and recruiting.
