Each year, we like to check in with nonprofits and their agency colleagues to take the temperature of the public lands retail sector. As the summer progresses, we all know that retail sales ebb and flow, but this year there seem to be numerous mitigating factors. We’re hearing a mixed report on how sales are going this summer compared to last summer (holding steady for some, up for others, and surprisingly down for some), and we’re curious how you’re doing.

In this informal web chat, we’ll discuss the summer’s progress, trends, employee observations, and other factors that might affect how your retail outlet and others around the country are faring…and how you’re using this information to make adjustments in the short term and plan for the coming year.
