Through the Education and Scholarship Fund, the Public Lands Alliance provides its members with access to professional development opportunities sponsored by PLA. Scholarships help provide financial support to cover registration fees, travel and lodging expenses for PLA members.
Eligibility: staff and board members of Public Lands Alliance member organizations, particularly new staff and board members who have never before attended the PLA Convention and Trade Show. If your organization has received funds for two consecutive years, there is a one-year waiting period before an application from your organization will be considered again for funding.
Deadline: the 2020 scholarship submission period has ended.
Scholarship recipients are encouraged to stay at the convention hotel so they can take part in all aspects of the event, including informal networking that occurs during non-programmed times.
"This was my first experience at a Public Lands Alliance convention, and I am so glad I had the opportunity to participate. Everyone who presented, who I met and worked with during the week were so open and willing to share and help. I can’t say enough great things about this convention and tradeshow, and am already planning ahead to next year’s convention! Thank you for the opportunity to participate in so many levels, and the scholarship to make this an accessible opportunity for us. " - 2019 Scholarship Recipient
