We are excited to shine the spotlight on an incredible achievement that embodies the spirit of dedication, empowerment, and resilience. The Public Lands Alliance is proud to celebrate the Rosie the Riveter Trust and their collaboration with esteemed organizations dedicated to honoring the legacy of "Rosie the Riveter."

In a momentous recognition of their contributions during World War II, a Congressional Gold Medal will be collectively awarded to the women affectionately known as "Rosie the Riveter." These remarkable individuals played a pivotal role in manufacturing aircraft, vehicles, weaponry, ammunition, and other essential materials and services that were crucial to securing victory.

The Rosie the Riveter Trust, alongside key organizations committed to preserving this inspiring legacy, has initiated a call to action. The aim is to invite as many Rosies as possible to Washington, DC, for the prestigious presentation of the Congressional Gold Medal on April 10, 2024, at the United States Capitol.

These women, symbolized by the iconic "We Can Do It!" poster, epitomize female empowerment, strength, and the invaluable contributions they made to the workforce and the nation. With the Congressional Gold Medal, they can now proudly rally around the acknowledgment that "They Did It!" This well-deserved honor not only recognizes their past achievements but also serves as an enduring inspiration for generations to come.

The Public Lands Alliance extends its heartfelt congratulations to the Rosie the Riveter Trust and all the Rosie the Riveters who will be part of this historic celebration.
