The Public Lands Alliance (PLA) works to ensure America's parks, forests, and wildlife refuges are forever conserved for the benefit and enjoyment of the people. Our core programs connect, strengthen, and represent the nonprofit partners of America’s public lands, empowering them to steward and support these treasured landscapes. PLA itself has a unique partnership with the US Fish & Wildlife Service to raise public awareness of the National Wildlife Refuge System (NWRS) and increase the capacity and impact of its grassroots nonprofit partners.

The PLA Board of Directors is comprised of individuals passionate about our nation's public lands and enriching their visitors' experiences. Early each year, the Governance Committee conducts and open call for board nominations. The 2024 open call closed on March 15.

If you want to learn more about serving on the PLA Board of Directors, please review our most recent invitation for nominations. Individuals who wish to submit a nomination prior to the 2025 open call should send a note to info@publiclandsalliance.org with a brief introduction that explains their interest and experience.
