To celebrate a recent apparel collection designed around Hawaiian volcanoes and the ecosystems they create, Parks Project donated $10,000 to the Hawaiʻi Pacific Parks Association (HPPA) to support their mission.

A Generous Gesture from Parks Project

Parks Project, a company known for its dedication to supporting national parks, recently unveiled a new apparel collection inspired by the awe-inspiring Hawaiian volcanoes. To celebrate the launch of this collection and to further their commitment to preserving these natural wonders, Parks Project made a generous donation of $10,000 to HPPA.

Paying It Forward to Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park

HPPA is paying it forward by sending this donation to their partner, Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. This act will enable the park to meet future volcanic eruption response needs, ensuring the safety of visitors and the preservation of this unique environment.

Additionally, a portion of the donation will be directed toward the conservation of the federally endangered Hawaiian petrel. These birds, whose survival is threatened, require specialized care and protection. Surveys for the petrel necessitate park staff to work in harsh, remote, high-elevation Mauna Loa nesting areas. The funds from Parks Project will provide crucial support for this vital conservation effort.

A Longstanding Commitment to Conservation

Mel Boehl, the Executive Director of HPPA, expressed their gratitude, saying, “This generous donation from Parks Project goes hand in hand with our longtime support of Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park’s wildlife and other programs over the decades." This partnership between HPPA and Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park is a testament to the power of collaboration and a shared commitment to preserving the unique natural and cultural heritage of the Hawaiian islands.
