Join the Public Lands Alliance (PLA) and the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF) for a conversation about National Public Lands Day (NPLD), one of the nation’s largest single days of service for public lands. Held annually each September, NPLD brings together volunteers, public land agencies, nonprofit partners, educators, and communities to care for and connect with public lands across the country.
This webinar will explore ways public lands nonprofit partners can participate in and benefit from NPLD through volunteer stewardship projects, educational and recreational programming, community partnerships, youth engagement, and more. You’ll hear from fellow PLA partners who have successfully hosted NPLD events, gain helpful tips and ideas, and walk away with key planning dates, free resources, and registration guidance.
Whether your organization has participated in NPLD for years or is considering getting involved for the first time, this session will offer practical inspiration, peer learning, and space for conversation.
This webinar is designed for nonprofit public lands partners, friends groups, cooperating associations, public land agency staff, educators, and others interested in harnessing the momentum of a nationwide day of service and celebration at your local site.
