Summer Debrief: Trends, Sales & Lessons from the Field

Join fellow public lands retailers for an interactive round-robin exchange about what you’re seeing this season. This is a participatory session, so come prepared to share! We’ll compare trends and sales, highlight best-selling products and merchandising wins, talk through common challenges, and share what you’re planning to keep—or change—for next year.
To help everyone prepare and build a snapshot of retail performance across the public lands community, registered participants will receive a brief pre-event survey asking for a few key metrics, such as:
- Summer visitation and year-over-year change
- Summer retail sales and year-over-year change
- Sales per visitor
- Average transaction value
- Top-performing merchandise categories
During the Exchange, we’ll share aggregated findings and then hear directly from participants about what worked, what surprised you, what challenges you’re facing, and what you’re thinking about for the year ahead.
Depending on registration, we may also use breakout rooms to connect you with peers from similar organizations or retail operations for more focused conversation.
Come ready to share your numbers, observations, successes, and questions—and leave with ideas and insights from your peers across the public lands retail community.
