Hello everyone!
Well, it’s that time of year again, we’re back in the saddle! It almost seems like the convention in Atlanta just ended.
But once again, we’re looking for some great session ideas for our convention in Spokane, Washington, March 6–10, 2016. Specifically, we want ideas that will help attendees achieve new levels of excellence in serving and supporting public lands in the United States. For those of you who have attended the convention, you know that our attendees are looking for wide-ranging levels of content, from best practices to cutting-edge—content that will them optimize their job performance and achieve their public lands missions.
For our 2016 Convention, we are especially seeking proposals that provide innovative tools and solutions to partners engaged in critical, current public lands initiatives including (but not limited to): the White House's Every Kid in a Park Program; Secretary Jewell’s One Million Volunteers on Public Lands objective; revitalized urban forest, refuge and park indicatives; and the National Park Service Centennial.
Our program committee will give greater weight to proposals that offer best practices in public-private partnerships and successfully respond to contemporary opportunities and challenges in public lands that fall within one or more of the following topic areas:
• Board Development
• Nonprofit Management and Operations
• Fundraising and Membership
• Marketing and Communications
• Partnership Policies and Laws
• Activating Youth and Diverse Audiences
• Retail Sales and Products
• Health and Recreation
• Education and Learning
• Program Evaluation and Research
